For many of you, it has been a while since we have been in touch. We have been doing some very exciting things here at Argentus. We have undergone a name change to Argentus Talent Acquisition and with that we have a great new website,which I encourage you to review regularly because it’s full of helpful information to assist you and those you know in your career search. We are constantly adding new information for your edification – both for clients and our candidates.
For example, there will soon be a White Paper out giving up to the minute salary compensation averages/information in Supply Chain and Procurement roles in Canada. There is a lot of disparity from one industry to another, Public to Private, job to job and Argentus is doing an insightful comparison of who is paying what (no we don’t tell names of course) which will add clarity once and for all to the talent war in SCM.

Another exciting development for us this year was a significant modification to our business model. We added Contingency/Contract in Supply Chain Management and Purchasing in a big way. We are very pleased to report that we are working with one of the major Financial Institutions in providing significant talent in their Strategic Sourcing Group and have been taken on by one of the top Insurance Companies for Contract/Contingency as well as having been identified by a large telelcom provider among others, as a Recruiter of Choice for Contract for their Procurement needs. We expect this to only get better and stronger in the years ahead.
Manufacturing has expanded for Argentus in SCM as well. There have been some interesting senior roles in Logistics and Distribution and we see this as a big growth area so stay tuned.
We are in the midst of a significant update of our database. We are trying hard to reach back out to candidates we have been in touch with in the past.
