Argentus is working with a new client in Montreal on a sole contributor-level indirect Procurement role. Working out of the company’s Montreal office, this Senior Sourcing Specialist will work alongside a dynamic team to maximize cost savings and value in the Procurement process. Working in (mostly) indirect categories, you will collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for new Procurement initiatives. You will drive strategies when it comes to supplier research, selection, negotiation, onboarding, contract management, and other bread-and-butter strategic Procurement tasks. You will use your understanding of market intelligence in the assigned categories (emphasis on transportation, MRO, engineering, logistics, with possible work in other categories as well) to make recommendations for contract extensions with existing suppliers, or supplier development for new suppliers – acting as a point person within the organization for driving value through the Procurement process. In addition, you will work to streamline and improve the Procurement process by identifying value added supplier programs and other opportunities for continuous improvement.
Our client is looking for French / English Bilingual Procurement professionals in this role, as you will be negotiating and communicating with suppliers and stakeholders in both French and English. Any industry background is a good fit, as long as you have strong indirect Procurement experience in the relevant categories (at least 5+ years).
