What does the market look like? A recent report in Supply Chain Management Review magazine, titled “Supply Chain Managers Told to Prepare for Demand Surge in 2014,” outlined how companies’ Supply Chain organizations need to be at their best to prepare for increased demand. 2014 promises to be a hot year for recruitment in the Supply Chain and Procurement vertical as the economic outlook continues to improve. Companies are looking to add contingent talent to manage projects and innovation, but permanent search is also a huge focus for the New Year. For that reason, the timing is perfect for an expansion of the Argentus team, and the company is thrilled to be bringing Rob aboard.
Originally from London, UK, Rob Atherton has immigrated to Canada, specifically Toronto in late 2013 from Sydney, Australia where he’d been working in the recruitment industry in the IT and Digital space – and he’s ready to channel his knowledge of the tech sector into the Supply Chain space, which is rapidly adopting new technologies to increase efficiencies.
During his time working in recruitment in Sydney, Rob successfully built up strong relationships with candidates and clients alike which certainly assists Argentus from the perspective of demand from companies for increased talent hiring in Asia and Australasia. Rob has received good training – His professional yet personal approach to business ensured he remains a trusted partner throughout the recruitment process. He is a great listener, very intuitive and works hard to ask all the right questions, not just the obvious ones, to get to the bottom of exactly what it is his clients are looking for and takes the time to fully appreciate candidates’ hopes and aspirations to be able to introduce them to the best opportunities.
Having been through the recruitment process on the other side of the globe in the UK, Australia and now Canada, Rob has had exposure to a range of different recruitment techniques.
