This company, located in Burlington, ON, is a fast-growing and respected manufacturing company. Today, they’re looking for new Project Buyers to help bolster their Procurement function!
Working out of the company’s Burlington facility, these Project Buyers will take on sourcing and purchasing duties for assigned commodities within the mechanical and electrical categories. You will draft, monitor, and release purchase orders according to various project and MRP requirements, in co-ordination with the inventory optimization and Supply Chain teams. You will act in a vital Procurement support role for New Product Introductions by helping to cost out and develop a sourcing strategy for new products, and then execute Procurement using an RF(x) process to ensure that materials are in place for the first builds of those new products. Afterward, you will help transition those procurements for new product commodities into a continuous supply once products hit the market.
In short, this is a fast-paced, impactful direct Procurement role in a world class manufacturing organization. Our client is looking for individuals with a background in commodities purchasing within one or more high-tech industries such as aerospace or electrical manufacturing – as well as a strong understanding of new product introductions.
