This role will report to the Senior Director of Operations and take charge of the company’s Mississauga, ON warehouse & distribution centre. In this role, the successful candidate will roll up their sleeves to oversee the daily workflow of the large warehouse operation, including picking, packing & quality assurance, ensuring that the warehouse meets operational targets and customer service standards. On a day-to-day level, you’ll plan the workload for the DC, manage maintenance of the equipment and facility, identify and mitigate bottlenecks, and uphold the company’s health and safety standards for the DC. On a bigger-picture level, you’ll work within the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, and Warehouse Management System (WMS) to build warehousing KPIs, identify issues and corrective actions, and develop continuous improvement initiatives for the DC. In addition, this role has a large people management component, where you’ll be coaching and mentoring the warehouse and operations team to success–both direct supervisory reports, as well as the warehouse staff. In summary, this role is perfect for a hands-on leader who also has the technical and strategic acumen to use data to execute successful continuous improvement initiatives.
This role is an excellent fit for a Warehouse leader from a Distribution or 3PL background, or the Automotive industry. Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives in a warehousing & distribution environment is also a must, as are strong skills with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, and Warehouse Management System (WMS) software.
