As they grow their business, they’ve tapped Argentus to source a Supply Chain Manager!
Working onsite out of the company’s facility in Toronto, ON, this Supply Chain Manager will step into a leadership role in the organization, reporting to the company President to develop the supply chain into a source of competitive advantage for the company. The successful candidate will develop and implement strategies and best practices for all supply chain activities, including procurement, inventory planning, warehousing, and logistics. On the procurement side, you will work with the company’s global supplier base to source products and raw materials, identifying and qualifying new sources of supply from the perspective of cost, value, delivery and quality, ensuring that suppliers meet the company’s ISO:9001 and ISO:13485 standards while developing excellent relationships with suppliers. You will work to develop continuous improvement methodologies with the company’s suppliers, and manage inventory planning to optimize the company’s safety stock and inventory turns, while finding opportunities for efficiency. You will manage the physical cycle count process, and physical inventory, and work within tight timelines to bolster inbound logistics processes for shipment of the raw materials and the company’s products. In addition, you will provide excellent leadership to the company’s supply chain teams in procurement, inventory control, production planning and warehousing, while integrating the supply chain function with the wider business strategy.
This is an excellent role with strong growth opportunity for a skilled Supply Chain Manager with comprehensive experience in global sourcing, inventory planning, logistics and warehousing within a similar manufacturing industry (e.g. medical devices, automotive, engineered products, etc.). The successful candidate needs to possess excellent leadership skills, with the strategic vision to develop the supply chain function, establish KPIs, and roll up their sleeves to execute on supply chain projects.
