Working out of the company’s facility in Nova Scotia, this Senior Procurement Specialist will work to support the company’s stakeholders in delivering contracting and sourcing for key goods and services categories. You’ll work to deeply understand stakeholders’ needs, and develop sourcing and contracting strategies, then go to market utilizing those strategies with full-lifecycle RFx events designed to maximize value to the business while delivering exceptional goods and services. You will provide analysis of market conditions, qualify prospective suppliers, develop and issue RFx documents, evaluate supplier submissions, and manage supplier negotiation, contract development and onboarding, including managing supplier orientation and kickoff meetings. In addition, this role will manage strategic Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor and boost supplier performance, providing analysis of cost and supply chain processes to find additional value and ensure that the company maximizes its contracts with key suppliers.
This role is an excellent fit for a strong mid-career procurement professional, with excellent contracting skills and the ability to lead end-to-end RFx sourcing processes. The successful candidate could come from a background in Oil & Gas, Manufacturing or Government, and must have excellent skills with communication, negotiations, and stakeholder management. Please note: due to our client’s requirements, the successful candidate needs to have at least 10 years of experience living and working in history in Canada and/or in NATO countries.
