Argentus is working with a brand new client on an excellent Procurement role. This organization boasts a strong, mission focused working culture, and an excellent and growing supply chain team. As part of their ongoing expansion, they’ve tapped Argentus to source a Senior Buyer for their mission critical Construction category.
Working out of the company’s office in Vancouver, BC, this Senior Buyer will take on strategic procurement and contract development duties within the Engineering and Construction category. In this roles, the successful candidate will develop overall category and contracting strategy, and then execute on those strategies with successful, transparent and competitive procurement processes (RFx). You will work closely with stakeholders, developing relationships and deeply understanding their needs, and then manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle by developing bid documents, issuing tenders within the organization’s Bonfire online bidding platform, evaluating bid submissions, negotiating with vendors and preparing agreements and other contractual documentation. You will manage contracting and vendor relationships, performing business analysis about supplier and contract performance with the goal of enhancing value from the company’s supplier relationships. In addition, you will work with a variety of key players in the organization to streamline and iterate on procurement processes, continuing to develop it into a centre of strategic excellence within the organization.
This is an excellent strategic sole contributor roles for a proven Procurement professional in Vancouver, ready to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate needs to have considerable end-to-end procurement and vendor management experience within Construction, Engineering or CapEx projects. Experience with contract strategy development is also a must for this role, as is experience working within Broader Public Sector (BPS) procurement guidelines.
