Argentus has been engaged by a new Public Sector client in Edmonton, AB on a strategic Procurement role. This organization is a strong service provider in their category with a commitment to transparency and innovation in their Procurement process, currently undergoing a transformation to continue their growth towards a centre-led strategic Procurement model. Today, they’re looking for a Procurement Specialist!
Working from the company’s Edmonton, AB office (remote to start due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation), this individual will manage large-scale, complex Procurement projects within a variety of indirect categories. Working within trade agreements and Public Sector Procurement guidelines, you will work with stakeholders across the organization (in areas including a variety of consultants in IT and Engineering) to understand Procurement needs and execute a competitive bidding process from beginning to end. You will plan overall Procurement activities for these categories, identifying needs and developing methodology and process to execute the RFx process and deliver cost savings and strategic advantage. You will evaluate bids as part of the competitive process, and work to negotiate with vendors and onboard them following contract award, while also working to build relationships with existing vendors and suppliers on an ongoing basis.
In short, this is an impactful sole contributor-level Procurement role for an individual in Edmonton with at least 2 years of indirect Procurement experience (in consulting, engineering, and/or IT).
