Today, they have engaged Argentus on a search for 3 Procurement Specialists—in this case for their HR & Professional Services category!
This role will work on a hybrid basis at the company’s office in Midtown Toronto, ON on a permanent full-time basis, with a mandate to support the company’s indirect procurement team. Key spend categories for this role are HR & Professional Services (including temporary labour, consulting, training, transportation, etc.). Working within this assigned spend category, you will provide sourcing and end-to-end procurement with the goal of mitigating risk and improving price, quality, delivery and payment terms to build total value for the organization. In this role, you will use data, visualization tools (including PowerBI and Tableau) and predictive analytics to analyze trends and identify insights about the company’s suppliers, and use those insights to inform procurement strategy and decision making. You will manage the end-to-end procurement process for complex, multi-year contracts, building relationships with suppliers to arrive at mutually beneficial agreements and contracts using proven cost reduction strategies. You will manage multiple concurrent procurement projects, identifying key milestones in the process and managing timelines to best meet the needs of stakeholders in the business. In addition, you will provide contract management for the assigned categories, working to negotiate, draft & redline contracts with suppliers, review all contracts for risk and accuracy, and track existing contracts accurately with great attention to detail.
This is a fantastic growth opportunity for an emerging procurement professional with solid indirect procurement experience under their belt. At least 1-3 years of procurement experience is a must for this role, including experience working in HR and/or Professional Services as a procurement category. Exposure to contract development and management is a must for this role, and Experience with PowerBI and Tableau is a strong asset. The successful candidates need to have excellent communications and relationship-building skills, as well as strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
