Today, they have engaged Argentus on a search for 3 Procurement Specialists—in this case for their DC Operations & Real Estate category!
This role will work on a hybrid basis at the company’s office in Brampton, ON with a mandate to support the company’s indirect procurement team for the key categories of DC Operations, Real Estate, and Facilities spend. Working within this assigned spend category, you will provide sourcing and end-to-end procurement with the goal of mitigating risk and improving price, quality, delivery and payment terms to build total value for the organization. You will work to negotiate agreements with suppliers for the assigned spend, and develop contracts that add value and secures the organization’s interests. In addition, you will work to assess sources of risk in the supplier marketplace (e.g. market risk, financial risk, etc.) with the goal of mitigating that risk through alternative sources of supply. You will manage multiple concurrent procurement projects, identifying key milestones in the process and managing timelines to best meet the needs of stakeholders in the business.
This is a fantastic growth opportunity for an emerging procurement professional with solid indirect procurement experience under their belt. At least 1-3 years of procurement experience is a must for this role, including experience purchasing for Distribution Centre Operations, Facilities, and/or Real Estate. The successful candidate needs to have excellent communications and relationship-building skills, as well as strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
