Argentus is working with a brand new client, a renowned automotive manufacturer with a wonderful history, strong growth and a global presence. They have tasked Argentus with a number of searches for their supply chain group—in this case a Materials Supervisor!
This individual will work out of the company’s facility in North GTA (exact location confidential for now), with oversight of the company’s inventory planning, demand forecasting and master scheduling for key commodities and products for multiple manufacturing sites. In this role, the successful candidate will work within the company’s systems to ensure a high degree of inventory accuracy for finished goods, purchased components and raw materials at the sites, working with Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) to ensure an effective Just-in-Time inventory mix. You will monitor daily inventory performance (inventory turns, customer delivery performance, and downtime), tracking key performance indicators for the sites’ inventory positions and communicating them to management in the business. You will hire, train, mentor and coach the team of Materials Analysts with the goal of ensuring safety, effectiveness and overall quality of the inventory management function. In addition, you will work to modernize systems at the site by contributing to an ERP systems implementation, and work within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the company’s Inventory Management function.
This role is an excellent fit for an established supply chain professional with at least 5 years of working experience in Inventory Management, Demand Planning and Master Scheduling at a multi-site manufacturing environment. Our client is looking for individuals who are highly tactical, with the ability to effectively manage inventory while creating operational improvements. Experience with ERP implementations is a must (e.g. SAP), as is experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) (preferably Solidat).
