Argentus is proud to be working with a fantastic client on a brand new search for a front-line logistics role in the GTA. This company in the food industry boasts a positive, collaborative working culture, with lots of opportunity to work cross-functionally and expand your skills, and room to grow. Today, they’re looking for a Logistics & Customs Coordinator!

Working out of the company’s North GTA office, this individual will manage key front line duties for both logistics and customs as part of the company’s supply chain. On the logistics side, this individual will manage inbound and outbound freight transportation with the goal of securing shipments on time and within budget. You will work to select freight transportation carriers for TL, LTL, Ocean and Intermodal shipments, negotiate with carriers on cost, and schedule shipments and deliveries, both for inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods. You will identify and resolve issues related to shipments, assist with transit tracking, and provide rapid response to delays or incidents. This role involves interfacing with a variety of key supply chain stakeholders, and you’ll be working closely with production, quality, shipping/receiving and accounting to ensure that deliveries arrive smoothly. It’s a great fit for a candidate with 2-3 years of logistics and customs experience under their belt, including experience managing US shipments. The successful candidate should come from within the Food or Consumer Packaged Goods industry, and have strong experience managing freight negotiations for a variety of transportation modes, as well as experience working with customs brokers to manage customs documentation. A certification including CSS, CITT, or CCLP would be a strong asset for the role.
