Today, they have tapped Argentus to search for a number of IT Procurement Specialists!
These individuals will work out of the company’s Toronto, ON office as part of the company’s specialized IT procurement team, with a mandate to deliver end-to-end strategic sourcing projects for the company’s various categories of IT spend. Categories include software, Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), AI, and application delivery. In these roles, the successful candidates will take on sourcing for complex IT sourcing projects, working independently to manage these projects from end-to-end and deliver results. You will work with IT stakeholders in the business to gather detailed requirements, develop and deploy RFx documentation, research the supplier marketplace, and engage suppliers in a competitive procurement process. You will identify prospective suppliers and engage in proactive negotiations and contract development, arriving at agreements which drive value in terms of service delivery, cost, risk management and innovation. In these roles, the successful candidates will also have exposure to senior leadership in the business, as you will be working to present the results of procurement projects for approval and drive conversations around value and terms.
These are excellent sole contributor-level roles for established IT Procurement professionals with strong experience in multiple IT categories including software, SaaS, PaaS, AI, and application delivery. The successful candidates need to have a good understanding of end-to-end RFx development and delivery. In addition, we are looking for candidates with exceptional negotiation skills, and a good understanding of legal and contracting terms. An ability to manage and execute projects independently is a must, as are strong communications and presentation skills to gain buy-in from stakeholders and present to senior leadership in the business.
