Argentus is working with a fantastic client in the technology industry on a brand new front-line procurement contract role. This company is a global leader in their category, with a proud culture of innovation and collaboration. Today, they’ve tapped Argentus to hire a Procurement Coordinator!
This role will work remotely on a contract until the end of 2026, with a mandate to support the procurement team on software and other indirect categories, including professional services, marketing, facilities, etc. In this role, you will provide front line tactical procurement support, including using pre-defined processes to manage software contract renewals and license agreements, as well as managing tactical purchases for the other categories outlined above. Working within intake systems like Zendesk and Zip, you will create and track purchase orders and other related documentation for the assigned projects, and coordinate with internal stakeholders including Finance, Legal and Compliance on standard contracts and Statements of Work. In addition, you will work to provide status updates to other internal teams and serve as a point of contact for procurement-related requests.
In short, it’s a fantastic tactical procurement role for someone looking to make their mark at a great Canadian company. The role is remote for a candidate within Canada, however due to time zones the preference is for a candidate in Ontario. The successful candidate needs to have at least 2-3 years of experience within indirect procurement, with exposure to IT, professional service and other categories. Strong communications and collaboration experience is a must, and experience with project management and procurement tools such as Zendesk or Zip is a significant asset.
