Argentus has been retained on a confidential basis by a top client in Industrial Manufacturing, with a mandate to place a senior manufacturing leadership role. This company has a host of successful highly engineered products with applications across a wide variety of industries, and exciting plans for continued growth going forward. Today, they’re looking for a Director of Manufacturing!
This role will report directly to the company’s CEO, and lead the company’s Manufacturing facility west of the GTA (exact location confidential). In this capacity, the Director of Manufacturing will work with critical business leaders across functions including supply chain, human resources and quality assurance to oversee the manufacturing operation at the plant, driving success in the overall manufacturing strategy and mission by leading teams, establishing KPIs, and acting as a hands-on leader as the facility grows. The successful candidate will design and implement SIOP best practices, and lead continuous improvement projects to drive new capital projects, capacity improvement, safety improvements, and quality assurance improvements. In addition, you will lead the Inventory Management & Planning functions, implementing supply chain best practices to improve the company’s strategic inventory position. You will act as a key decision maker in the business, working to develop a thriving culture of safety and accountability across the company’s large manufacturing teams, and also working to identify opportunities for capital expansion and ESG initiatives in concert with senior leadership in the business.
In short, this is a potentially career-defining role for a manufacturing guru with significant experience leading growing production operations to success. Our client is looking for a hands-on leader with the strategic vision to scale the capacity of the operation with a strong focus on people, culture, safety and quality. The successful candidate needs to have 10+ years of leadership experience within an industry manufacturing highly-engineered, complex products, as well a strong track record of continuous improvement and implementation of lean manufacturing practices.
