Today, Argentus is working with one of our longstanding Manufacturing industry clients on a number of contract procurement roles. This company has a proud history in their industry, with a reputation for sustainability and development of industry-leading technologies for a suite of global customers. Today, they’ve approached Argentus to help them source a number of Buyers on a contract basis!
These Buyer roles will work out of either Toronto, ON or Buffalo, NY on a contract basis. The contract term is 3-6 months for Buffalo, and 6 months for Toronto. In these roles, the successful candidates will manage procurement and for direct materials involved in production of the company’s products. The successful candidate will initiate purchase contracts with suppliers, place purchase orders, work with vendors to resolve any issues, and identify opportunities to reduce lead times while ensuring that stock matches required inventory levels for production. In addition, you will review supplier performance, and issue corrective actions to ensure on-time performance, delivery and quality. In general, you will work within the company’s tools to evaluate any shortages and expedite orders to ensure that required materials are delivered on-time, with the right quality and cost. In short, it’s an excellent sole contributor-level front line purchasing role at a fantastic manufacturing client.
These roles are an excellent fit for candidates with experience procuring materials for production within a manufacturing industry. The successful candidates also need to be located in either Toronto, ON or Buffalo, NY, and have strong skills with Excel (including Pivot Tables, Formulas, Conditional Formatting etc.).
