Today Argentus is working with a brand new client in the 3PL Logistics space on a Business Development & Operations Manager role! This client, located in Mississauga, is a renowned asset-based provider in their logistics vertical, servicing clients through a full-service mix of logistics modes including LTL, TL, Reefer, and Flat Bed, among others. 

Working out of the company’s office in Mississauga, ON, this role will have responsibility for both business development/sales and operations to serve the company’s customers. In this role, the successful candidate will lead a team of Logistics Supervisors and Customer Service team to execute logistics transportation for a variety of clients, providing exceptional customer service while working to build the book of business through new acquisition and existing client development. You will work with the organization’s asset team to identify new solutions using a mix of the company’s own assets and an established book of 3rd party carriers, and execute on those solutions to provide strong value for clients. In addition, you will provide financial planning for the operation, and work to coach and develop reports as the logistics operation grows. In short, it’s a fantastic manager-level 3rd Party Logistics opportunity for a candidate with a strong combination of sales and operations experience within the 3PL space. 

Our client is looking for individuals with:

  • 7-10 years of 3rd party logistics experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role
  • A strong background in logistics sales & business development, as well as operations, including a proven ability to build new logistics business, and provide exceptional logistics customer service
  • A large carrier book across North America
  • Knowledge and experience in all modes of freight intermodal transportation including cross-border LTL, TL, Reefer, Flat Bed, Trade Shows, Tankers, etc., and a strong understanding of the marketplace for 3rd party logistics services
  • Experience leading and coaching teams to success
