As specialists in Supply Chain recruitment, one thing that’s important to us at Argentus is to engage with the wider Supply Chain community to spread our message about the overall talent picture, what we’re seeing in the market, and issues facing the field. To that end, our President Bronwen Hann was thrilled to recently speak with Dustin Mattison about Supply Chain’s burgeoning talent deficit.
Dustin is a Supply Chain educator and publisher based in China. He runs a prolific and popular interview series, “The Future of Supply Chains,” where he speaks with skilled Supply Chain professionals from all corners of the discipline about current best practices and trends, everything from warehouse operations to continuous improvement and Supply Chain sustainability. The series is run as part of Kinaxis’ Supply Chain Expert Community, a great community of bloggers exploring all aspects of Supply Chain from a variety of perspectives. Both Dustin’s series and the Expert community in general are certainly worth your time.
Bronwen offered her perspective, based on decades of recruitment experience, on Supply Chain’s current talent picture. The interview touched on the crisis the industry might be facing as baby boomers retire, and what companies can do to help head off the impending deficit and secure the top rising talent who have already chosen the high-impact profession of Supply Chain.
