Argentus is thrilled to be working with another brand new client in the Manufacturing sector. This company is a leader in their Manufacturing sector, with a wide suite of products for a variety of industrial applications, and a strong culture of continuous improvement. As part of their continued growth, they’re seeking a Supply Chain Materials Manager!
This Supply Chain Materials Manager will take on supply chain leadership for two of the company’s sites within Southwestern Ontario (exact locations confidential for now). This individual will report to the company President, and manage overall material flow into and out of the sites, with a core focus on supply chain disciplines including inventory planning, production planning, purchasing & logistics. In this role, the successful candidate will lead, coach and mentor teams in the above functions to success, ensuring strong fulfilment and service to the company’s customers, developing and implementing supply chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure a high degree of performance in the above areas. You will build and foster strong relationships with a wide variety of suppliers and vendors, developing the supplier base into a source of competitive advantage. On the production side, you will work to deliver an effective production plan for the sites, and collaborate with the engineering & manufacturing functions to commercialize new products from the perspective of supply chain execution and supplier selection. In addition, you will work to improve controls and reporting around all supply chain metrics, and identify and execute on opportunities for continuous improvement across the supply chain and materials function.
In short, this is a fantastic supply chain leadership role for a candidate with a materials management background in manufacturing. The successful candidate needs to have at least 5 years of leadership experience in inventory planning, production planning, purchasing & logistics within a manufacturing industry. Experience developing KPIs, leading teams, and executing on continuous improvement projects is also a must. Experience with ISO standards including ISO:9001 and ISO:13485 is a strong asset for this role.
