This company is a leader in the Medical Distribution field, with a proud and deep history in the industry and a wide array of products servicing a variety of customers across Canada. As part of an ongoing supply chain transformation project, they’re looking for a Supply Chain Data Analyst!
The Opportunity:
Working on-site out of the company’s Brampton, ON facility (with potential to go hybrid), this Supply Chain Data Analyst will be tasked with building and maintaining excellent supply chain data, as well as drawing insights from that data to present to leadership in order to make sound strategic supply chain decisions. In this role, you will work within a variety of internal tools including ERP systems, Excel and PowerBI to support supply chain decision making, and improve a variety of key internal metrics including fill rate, inventory, obsolescence, and overall team efficiency. By developing a strong understanding of the organization’s supply chain data—and developing processes to optimize that data—you’ll work to offer business leadership key insights through reports, dashboards and visualizations. You’ll then use these insights to help adjust inventory, manage forecasts, reduce obsolescence, optimize the parameters for orders, and drive automation and efficiency in a variety of supply chain processes. Using strong research and data analysis skills, you’ll work to understand trends in consumer demand, and develop supply chain solutions to meet that demand through excellent customer service. In short, this role will use data to gain a deep understanding of supply chain needs and shortfalls, and use that data to recommend solutions and provide visibility to leadership in the business.
The Ideal Candidate:
This role is an excellent opportunity for an emerging or mid-career supply chain professional with several years of high-level data analysis experience. Exceptional skills with Excel (including Macros, Pivot Tables and vLookup), PowerBI and ERP skills are a must. Our client is also looking for individuals who have successfully build reporting, visualizations and dashboards using these tools, to help optimize a variety of key supply chain metrics.
