As they continue to grow, they’re looking to upgrade their QA & regulatory competency, and have tapped Argentus to find an interim Quality Assurance & Regulatory Consultant!
Working to support the company’s facility in the York Region, ON, this Quality Assurance & Regulatory Consultant will hit the ground running in a consulting role to drive process improvements within the company’s QA & Regulatory function. In this role, the successful candidate will lead the QA team to ensure that the company’s QA efforts meet and exceed British Retail Consortium (BRC) standards by overseeing the quality control process throughout the entire manufacturing lifecycle. Using your deep understanding of the regulatory environment for food production, you will incorporate updates to regulatory changes into the QA process, and find opportunities for collaboration with regulatory agencies and other external partners to maintain regulatory compliance. You will work to build out robust documentation for QA & Regulatory activities, including all processes, procedures and certifications, and provide reporting to senior leadership in the business around compliance status and regulatory initiatives. Our client is looking for an individual who can roll up their sleeves and drive continuous improvement within the manufacturing process, building QA & regulatory compliance into a true strategic advantage for the organization.
This contract role is a fantastic opportunity for a food QA & regulatory guru to make their mark at an excellent organization, with a possibility to extend the contract term for the right individual. Our client is looking for candidates with strong experience leading a QA team within the food industry (note: other industry experience is not applicable for this role). A strong understanding of BRC and other food manufacturing regulatory standards is a must for this role, as is a proven track record of delivering projects in HACCP and food safety management. Candidates should have education in Chemistry, Food Science, Engineering, or Microbiology.
