Argentus is thrilled to be working with another new client in the Food industry on a set of impactful manufacturing roles. This organization has a great history in the industry, and is in the midst of a major digital transformation that will align and future-proof their manufacturing operations. As part of this transformation, they’ve tapped Argentus to help them find a Production Manager!
Working out of the company’s office in the North GTA (on a hybrid basis), this individual will take on front-line Production Scheduling, Production Planner, and Inventory Planning for the company’s production activities. Working closely with the Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidate will work to understand production requirements based on sales forecasts, and then schedule production to meet the sales forecast while also maximizing efficiency in production, ensuring that inventory targets are attained. This role also has an inventory component, where you’ll be placing purchase orders with vendors to meet production plans, and also work to incorporate inventory rotation to minimize obsolete inventory. In the role, you will work to identify and escalate any risks to the company’s supply, including quality issues, raw material shortages, and any issues in production, to ensure a smooth flow of production and excellent customer service. This role also has a continuous improvement component, as you’ll be working within the company’s new visual factory system to identify opportunities for increased efficiency in the manufacturing process.
For this role, our client is looking for people with experience in Production Planning, Production Scheduling, and Inventory within a manufacturing environment—ideally Food or Consumer Goods, but other manufacturing could work as well. The successful candidate needs to have exceptional Excel and data analytics skills, as well as very strong attention to detail and communications skills to work with stakeholders across a fast-paced business. If this sounds like you and you’re looking to make a move, reach out to Argentus today! Call 416 364 9919 or send an email to recruit@argentus.com, including your resume outlining your experience in Production Planning, Production Scheduling and Inventory within manufacturing.
