This Public Sector organization commands a ton of respect for its excellence in Supply Chain and sourcing management, with a strong working culture. Today they’ve come to Argentus to tap into our network for a number of Procurement Officers!
Working out of the organization’s office in Ottawa, ON (Hybrid), these Procurement Officers will handle end-to-end sourcing for a number of indirect categories. This means leading teams cross-functionally in the RF(x) process, working across the sourcing lifecycle from needs analysis to request initiation, bid evaluation, supplier negotiation, contract award and onboarding – with the ultimate goal of developing a smooth and effective Procurement process that adds significant value to the company while minimizing risk. You will work closely with individual stakeholders for various categories, and communicate regularly with suppliers to provide clarification and direction on the organization’s Procurement activities. You will also ensure that goods and services procured are delivered up to the standard of agreed upon scope of work with suppliers. You will also work to recommend and implement changes and process improvements to the Procurement function.
Our client is seeking individuals with strong experience in end-to-end Procurement within indirect categories. The right candidate will have a significant track record of preparing and evaluating RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and other sourcing events, with a demonstrated record of adding value to their organizations through Procurement. Experience in indirect categories is a requirement, and specific expertise in IT procurement is a strong asset. A University degree is a must, and experience with Public Sector procurement, including BPS procurement guidelines, is a significant asset.
