Working to support the organization’s office in the GTA, and reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager, this Procurement Manager will lead the Procurement team in all sourcing and contract management activities. Working across a variety of indirect procurement categories, with an emphasis on Information Technology, this individual will work to deliver exceptional procurement outcomes—cost savings, risk mitigation, and innovation. In the big picture, you will work to develop policies and strategies around the procurement process, implementing roadmaps for departmental spend. You will work to gather a deep understanding of stakeholder requirements, and lead the procurement team in the end-to-end procurement process for delivering procurement projects. You will work to develop RFx documentation and processes, and lead the team in executing the procurement including negotiating, awarding, contracting, and developing vendor agreements with suppliers, working to secure value for the departmental spend. In addition, you will act as internal procurement subject matter expert for the departments, working to meet their needs, provide value and support them through strategic procurement processes. In summary, this role is an excellent manager-level role for a proven mid-career procurement professional from a services organization.
Our client is looking for individuals with a strong management-level procurement background, from a services-related organization (as opposed to manufacturing), with a proven record of realizing cost savings through successful procurement projects. Please note: the successful candidate needs to have at least 2-3 years of management experience in a procurement organization. Experience in a variety of indirect goods & services categories (e.g. HR, travel, professional services, etc.) is a must, with an emphasis on Information Technology.
