Today, they’re looking for a Planning & Production Materials Manager!
Working out of the company’s facility in Toronto, ON, the Planning & Production Materials Manager will take on oversight for the Buying, Planning and Inventory Management functions involved in the company’s manufacturing. In this role, you will take on leadership of teams in Production Planning & Inventory, and coach them to success, while also building key metrics and efficiencies to improve the overall performance of the functions. You will work to procure inventory required for production, working to ensure that all procured goods meet quality and engineering standards and specifications. Using your strong understanding of best practices in inventory management, you will have oversight over the entire inventory function—this includes conducting inventory analysis, item master set ups, ABC analysis, and improving lead times to maintain optimal supply chain inventory levels. You will work closely with a variety of cross functional teams including demand planning to ensure that forecasts and the Master Production Schedule are properly implemented, as well as working with Engineering to communicate about any issues that may arise. Using your strong understanding of ERP systems, you will help the organization navigate their ERP upgrade to provide additional value to the organization. In short, this is a holistic supply chain leadership role with significant budgetary and operational oversight for Inventory Management, Purchasing, and Planning—an opportunity to make an impact by leading teams to drive value from these functions.
Our client is looking for individuals with significant experience with Inventory Management, Supply Chain Planning, and Procurement within the manufacturing industry—preferably OEM rather than contract manufacturing. The successful candidate also needs to have strong experience leading teams in Production Planning and Inventory Management, as well as a proven track record of developing KPIs and implementing best practices to drive value from these functions. Our client is also looking for individuals with very strong ERP and ERP implementation experience, skilled at using ERP systems to maintain excellent data and find efficiencies with a continuous improvement mindset.
