Argentus is working with one of our top clients in the Food industry on a brand new role. This organization has a great history in the industry, and boasts a number of successful in-house brands in their food category. As they continue to grow, they’re expanding their team to match, and today they’re looking for an Order Desk & Customer Service Representative!
Working on a Hybrid basis out of the company’s office in the York Region, ON, this individual will take charge of the company’s end-to-end order-to-cash via their Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system, including order receiving, purchase order, changes, invoices, fulfilment and credit processing. In this role, you will work within the EDI system to ensure highly accurate sales orders, with the goal of minimizing stock outs and providing exceptional service to the company’s retail customers. In this role, you will handle all aspects of the customer’s orders, following up to communicate about delivery status and using strong attention to detail to communicate about any issues as they arise. You will act as a liaison between key stakeholders in the organization, working with logistics, warehousing, and shipping to trace any missing shipments, and expedite shipments as necessary. You will use third party transport companies and the customer portal to book deliveries and routes, and develop projects that improve the overall efficiency of the ordering process and improve the customer experience. In addition, this role has an inventory component, where you’ll use strong attention to detail to update the internal system with ongoing transactions and transfers with a high degree of accuracy.

Experience with customer service to retailers from a CPG or Food company is a requirement, as is a good familiarity with managing an order process using EDI. Experience with inventory management and an exceptional attention to detail are also a must.
