Today, Argentus is working with one of our longstanding Manufacturing industry clients on a number of contract procurement roles. This company has a proud history in their industry, with a reputation for sustainability and development of industry-leading technologies for a suite of global customers. Today, they’ve approached Argentus to help them source an Inventory & Capacity Planner on a Contract basis (6 month term)!
Working out of the company’s facility in Toronto (East End), this Inventory & Capacity Planner will report to the Senior Supply Chain Manager and contribute to the manufacturing operation by monitoring and managing various physical goods inventories, and forecasting sales and production levels for the materials requirements involved in production. In this role, you will plan capacity on both a short and long-term time horizon, working to align supply and demand levels to support the company’s sales. You will release work orders for the shop floor, monitor finished goods and production orders, and work with the procurement team to expedite materials required for production. You will monitor weekly and monthly production plans and prioritize work orders to match them, and provide detailed reports for Materials Requirements Planning, scheduling and back orders.
This role is an excellent fit for a candidate with strong Capacity Planning, Inventory Planning and Materials Requirements (MRP) Planning within a manufacturing industry, ideally a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. Strong Excel skills are a must (including Pivot Tables, filtering, formulas, conditional formating, etc.), as is the ability to transform that data into actionable insights and plans. If this fits your background, and you’re looking to move into your next great Manufacturing industry role, reach out to Argentus today! Send an email with an updated copy of your resume, outlining your background in planning, to recruit@argentus.com.
