Director of Global Supply Chain

Argentus is thrilled to be working with one of our great clients in the Manufacturing industry on an exciting Supply Chain leadership role! This company has a proud history in their industry, with a reputation for sustainability and development of industry-leading technologies for a suite of global customers. Today, they’re looking for a Director of Global Supply Chain!

Working out of the company’s facility in Toronto, this Director of Global Supply Chain will take on leadership of the movement of raw materials and finished goods throughout the company’s global manufacturing operations, with a functional emphasis on inventory management, planning, logistics and procurement. In this role, the successful candidate will develop strategies for materials management, S&OP and inventory management, and then implement those strategies across the global supply chain organization by collaborating with sales, sourcing, and manufacturing partners. In addition, you will lead global teams in inventory planning and purchasing, with the overall mandate to optimize the company’s inventory position as it responds to changing business needs and economic conditions. You will travel to the company’s global manufacturing sites as needed, working to identify gaps in processes and inefficiencies, and then execute continuous improvement projects to shore up those gaps and drive value along the supply chain. You will develop weekly and monthly inventory KPIs, and optimize the performance of the company’s ERP system, enacting the company’s supply chain digitization strategy. In the big picture, you will work to develop creative solutions to supply chain problems, and integrate people, processes and technology across the global organization.

The successful candidate needs to have strong experience leading supply chains at a multi-site, global manufacturing organization, with a demonstrated track record of success in inventory planning, S&OP, materials management, logistics and procurement. Experience in supply chains for manufacturing highly engineered products is a must for this role, as is strong ERP systems and continuous improvement experience.
