Argentus has made a big splash in the Automotive industry over the past 18 months, and one of our top clients in the industry has tasked us with filling a great Manager-level supply chain role. This organization has a great reputation in the industry, as well as a suite of innovative products and an excellent supply chain function. Today, they’re looking for a Demand & Supply Planning Manager!
This role will work out of the company’s Vaughan, ON location (Hybrid) to lead the Inventory Control team in the areas of Demand Planning and Supply Planning, as well as Inventory. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the successful candidate for this role will provide leadership and execution for the supply planning module and demand planning module for the company’s manufacturing, working to develop a forecast and supply plan to meet and exceed a variety of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and departmental objectives. In addition, this role has a significant inventory component as you’ll work to establish inventory policies for the assigned categories, and supervise an inventory cycle counting program that will provide an accurate inventory picture, and resolve inaccuracies with minimal risk. Working within an Agile framework, you will work closely with Sales, packing and other departments on the customer forecast, and implement changes and improvements to properly align supply with demand as part of the company’s strong S&OP process.
In short, this is a great functional leadership role at an excellent Automotive manufacturing company, with exposure to a variety of supply chain disciplines, and the opportunity to make an impact by driving strategy and executing supply chain functions at a high level. Our client is looking for individuals with a significant supply chain background, in supply planning, demand planning, as well as inventory planning. Our client is looking primarily for individuals from an Automotive Manufacturing background, but would be happy to consider candidates who have worked in these supply chain functional areas within other complex manufacturing industries (e.g. electrical, pharmaceutical, aerospace). Experience leading a team to success is also a must, as you’ll be managing the Inventory Control team for the assigned categories.
