This company has a proud history in the Agricultural industry, with a commitment to reliability, food safety and an excellent logistics/customer service function. Today, they’ve tapped Argentus to source a Demand Planning & Logistics Manager! 

This Demand Planning & Logistics Manager will work out of the company’s facility in the Kitchener/Waterloo region (exact location confidential), with a dual mandate: (1) to manage the company’s logistics function, including its in-house trucking fleet, and (2) to develop and implement a strong Demand Planning and forecasting function. This individual will lead the logistics team, developing strong relationships with the company’s drivers and other logistics providers, with the goal of providing exceptional service to the company’s customers. You will plan the ongoing shipment of products in collaboration with the production team, identify opportunities to optimize the overall logistics network, renegotiate supplier contracts as necessary, and manage maintenance and electronics logging devices to ensure a high degree of logistics performance. On the Demand Planning side, you will work to develop and implement a robust Demand forecasting process, using sales input, market trends, and historical data to forecast upcoming demand and align it closely with the production team, as well as the overall business strategy. In addition, you will provide strong reporting and analysis around inventory levels, logistics performance, and other key metrics, working to conduct root cause analysis of any supply chain issues and issue corrective actions to ensure a high degree of customer service. 

This role is an excellent fit for a proven Logistics professional, located in the Kitchener/Waterloo region, with significant experience managing and optimizing an in-house logistics fleet. The successful candidate also needs to have strong experience with demand planning, and the ability to implement demand forecasts.
