Today Argentus is working with one of our top clients in the Consumer Packaged Goods space on an excellent supply chain management role. This company is a growing manufacturer and distributor in their product category, with an excellent, people-forward working culture. Today, they’re hiring a Demand Planner to work within their S&OP function and deliver excellent forecasting for their products!
Working on a hybrid basis out of the company’s downtown Toronto, ON office and reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, this Demand Planner will take on forecasting and analytics duties as part of the company’s Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. Using strong analytics skills and a deep understanding of market trends and seasonality, the successful candidate will work to develop regular forecasts on a 12-to-18 month time horizon that successfully and accurately forecast demand for the company’s products—across a variety of categories, locations, and items. You will work within the S&OP process to formalize and improve the demand planning process, developing weekly and monthly reports as well as tools to track sales performance in comparison to forecasts, as well as competitor sales. By closely monitoring the forecast and it’s accuracy, you will work to identify gaps and abnormal demand patterns, and spearhead improvements to form a more accurate assessment of demand. In addition, you will liaise with a variety of key internal stakeholders including production, supply planning, procurement, order management and PMO to identify any ongoing risks in the Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) process, and provide useful data insights to improve other aspects of business operations.
In short, this is a front-line analytical supply chain role with strong compensation and an excellent culture. Our client is looking for individuals with at least 3+ years of Demand Planning experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods or Pharmaceutical industries. The successful candidate also needs to have a deeply analytical mindset, with a strong understanding of MRP processes and systems, as well as ERP systems (Sage MRP experience is an asset for the role) and Excel. If this sounds like you, and you’re looking to move into your next great Demand Planning role, reach out to Argentus today!
