Argentus is working with one of our top recent automotive clients on another great supply chain sole contributor role! This organization is a great automotive company, and a leader in their category in the Automotive industry—a major growth area for Argentus. Today, they’re looking for a Demand Planner!
Working out of the company’s Vaughan, ON location (on a Hybrid basis as the COVID-19 situation evolves), this Demand Planner will take charge of forecasting for multiple time horizons, and multiple levels of aggregation, to support the company’s manufacturing activities. Using your knowledge of historical trends, seasonality, and other key demand drivers, you will work to develop statistical models for demand for the company’s products, and evaluate those forecasts for accuracy, tailoring the forecast to continuously provide better information to stakeholders in the company’s manufacturing operation. You will take on a key role within the company’s Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, working to reduce variances and refine the forecasting model, and collaborate with stakeholders to provide a key input into the company’s supply planning function for inventory strategy. You will work to maintain the master planning schedule to ensure that inventory levels meet targets, and take on ownership for the demand planning software and overall system to ensure a high degree of overall success.
This is a classic demand planning role, ideal for someone with 2-5 years of experience developing demand forecasts for a manufacturing environment. Tier 1 Automotive experience is also a very strong asset for this role. Experience conducting continuous improvement is also a must, as are strong Excel skills (including pivot tables, vLookup, etc.), and ERP business systems experience. If this sounds like you and you’re looking to move into a new role, reach out to Argentus today! Call 416 364 9919 or send an email with your current resume to recruit@argentus.com.
