Argentus is working with one of our longstanding clients in Financial Services on a new Operational Resilience role. This company has an outstanding and storied history in their Financial Services vertical, with a major footprint in Canada. Today, they’re looking for a Crisis, Business Continuity & Operational Resilience Manager! 

Working on a hybrid basis (2-3 days in office a week) to support the company’s Markham, ON office, this role will take on leadership for addressing company preparations and contingencies for possible disruptions. Working within this highly regulated industry, this Manager will use their understanding of Business Continuity & Operational resilience regulations to help develop plans, procedures and documentation for disaster recovery and preparedness. In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert for preparedness in the organization to help proactively address any risk or disruption that may arise. You will design, implement and lead business continuity exercises on at least an annual basis, and support both internal and external requests for audit of the plan. As part of this role, you will have to maintain excellent documentation around business continuity plans, and act as a lead in the global organization related to crisis response. Should a disruption arise, you will have accountability for communicating with business lines and senior leadership to enact the plan, working to coordinate business activities to effectively manage any disruption without significant impact on the company’s operations and customers. 

The successful candidate for this role needs to have 10+ years of Business Continuity & Operational Resilience experience in a highly-regulated industry. Strong project management skills are also a must, as is expert knowledge of Business Continuity Management (BCM). Relevant industry certifications (DRI/ABCP/CBCP/MBCI) are a significant asset.
