Argentus is working again with one of our longstanding Public Sector clients on a set of sole contributor-level Procurement roles. This universally-recognized Public Sector organization commands a ton of respect for its excellence in Supply Chain, with a strong Procurement group leading the charge as a major centre of value within the organization. Today, they’re looking for a number of Buyers!
Working out of the organization’s Ottawa, ON office (Hybrid), these Buyer roles will provide front-line sourcing and Procurement support on a number of indirect categories relevant to the organization’s spend. Working within Public Sector Procurement guidelines, trade agreements and corporate policy, these individuals will execute sourcing projects including planning, bid solicitation, contract award, supplier negotiation, and continued contract management. You will work with stakeholders in the relevant departments to understand short and long-term Procurement needs, and provide ongoing support to these stakeholders as you work to onboard new suppliers after executing Procurement—either through sole source, direct Procurement, or competitive tendering. You will manage the Procurement documentation for the assigned projects, developing strong relationships and acting as a single point of contact for supplier and stakeholder inquiries about ongoing projects.
In short, this is an excellent role for an emerging Procurement professional with some experience under their belt, looking to move into their next opportunity. Our client is looking for individuals with Procurement experience in Indirect categories (e.g. professional services, IT, travel, marketing, logistics). Experience with IT procurement in particular is a strong asset for this role. A university degree is a requirement for the role, and expertise with Public Sector procurement is a strong asset.
