Argentus is working with a new top-flight client in the Public Sector. This client is a globally-renowned organization in their Public Sector area, with a reputation for innovation and quality, and a sophisticated strategic sourcing category management team. They have an excellent benefits package, and also offer relocation assistance for candidates outside of their geographic area. Today, they’re hiring for a number of strategic Procurement roles, in this case two Procurement Officers!

Working out of the company’s Ottawa office, these are two 2 year contract opportunities. These Officers will work within the organization’s category management framework to drive continued excellence in Strategic Sourcing within their assigned categories. This means building top-notch supplier relationships, and leading high-value complex sourcing events from soup to nuts – stakeholder needs analysis, strategy development, bid process, bid awards, supplier negotiation, contract development, and implementation. In short, these are impactful strategic Procurement roles with the ability to drive cost savings, minimize risk, and find innovation in a number of categories for a world class organization.

The successful candidates for these roles will have a demonstrated track record of running successful large-scale, complex RFx events within Public Sector organizations. At least 7 years of strategic Procurement experience in Public Sector is a must for this role, as well as outstanding business acumen and leadership skills.
