Argentus is thrilled to be working with one of our top clients in the Cannabis industry on a new role in their Procurement group. This entrepreneurial, fast-paced organization is undergoing rapid expansion. Last year, with Argentus’ help, they built a world-class Strategic Sourcing operation from scratch, working to centralize their spend in key categories from the get-go. Today, to support their mission of continued Procurement excellence, they’re looking for a Procurement Due Diligence Analyst!

Working out of the company’s office in downtown Toronto, this individual will be the day-to-day point person for the operation of the company’s compliance, third party risk and due diligence program. You will conduct a detailed analysis of third party vendor management data, and then interpret and identify abnormal vendor screening results, and other irregularities in the vendors’ performance. In concrete terms, that means assisting with analyzing vendor screening reports, overseeing ongoing monitoring of suppliers and vendors, and training others within the Procurement group about the company’s internal 3rd-party risk management process. In general, you will act as a subject matter expert within the company for 3rd party risk and governance, helping key stakeholders and the Procurement team to understand various compliance risks within the company’s fast-growing vendor relationships.

This is a specialized role for someone with a strong background in Procurement, Vendor Management and Supply Chain (at least 5+ years of experience). It requires a deep understanding of how to use data to assess risk in supplier relationships, and the communications skills necessary to present this data as actionable intelligence to leaders within the business.
